About Us

After more than ten vintages of making Pinot Noir throughout the cooler regions of California, our pursuit of producing site driven wines led us to Soberanes Vineyard in the famed Santa Lucia Highlands in 2012. Our winemaking techniques focus on allowing the vineyard to express itself – harvesting with moderate sugar and tannin levels, fermenting each lot separately to allow for careful blending, and restrained use of French oak. In 2016 we were able produce our first Garys’ Pinot Noir, to be released in Fall 2018. Limited in production and bountiful in character, these wines highlight the beauty of the Santa Lucia Highlands.
