WINEMAKER
Moret Brealynn
Moret Brealynn's path to wine was unusual. With a psychology degree from Sac State, she worked first as a Teen Center Director for the City of Davis, then moved to Sonoma County in 2011 to run a Boys & Girls Club. A year later she stepped into the industry at Silver Oak's tasting room and never looked back — going on to a marketing coordinator role at Kosta Browne, a year at Martinelli running events and VIP programs, and five years at HALL Wines.
At HALL she met Adam Lee, and soon after became general manager for Clarice Wine Company and Adam's consulting business. In 2021 she launched her eponymous label. By her fourth vintage, she'd been named one of Food & Wine's 'Five New Names to Know Now,' a North Bay Business Journal '40 Under 40' honoree, and a 'Trendsetting Winemaker' by Sonoma Magazine. Her Santa Lucia Highlands dry Rosé of Pinot Noir is a signature release, alongside three Pinot Noirs and a new Sonoma County Cabernet.
Moret married Adam Lee in Las Vegas in March 2025. Together they also craft wines for Busy Signal, Dial Tone, and Etienne Winery in the south of France, and consult for Rombauer, Bucher Vineyards, and VinZant Wines. Asked whether she's happiest in the mountains or at the ocean, she says: 'the vineyards.'
