OWNER/WINEMAKER
Adam Lee
Adam Lee began his wine career in 1989 at an Austin, Texas retail shop, working through restaurant sales and distribution before becoming Wine Buyer at Neiman Marcus in Dallas, where he met his wife Dianna Novy. In 1994 the couple founded Siduri Wines, which grew from 107 cases to 25,000 cases annually and became known as one of California's premier Pinot Noir producers.
After the 2015 sale of Siduri to Jackson Family Winery, Lee remained as its winemaker and launched Clarice Wine Company — a limited-enrollment wine community combining education, member events, and exclusive tastings. The company honors his grandmother, Clarice H. Phears, whose cooking methods shaped his approach to winemaking.
Through Clarice, Lee focuses on vineyards exclusively within the Santa Lucia Highlands.
