Clarice Wine Company

Clarice Wine Company is Adam Lee’s flagship winery and legacy project, named in honor of his grandmother, Clarice. After more than 30 years of winemaking and vineyard experience, Adam created Clarice as the place where he could, as he likes to say, “Frank Sinatra it” — do it his way. Working with two of California’s most celebrated Pinot Noir sites, Garys’ Vineyard and Rosella’s Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands, Clarice produces wines of character, distinction, and longevity. Crafted with significant whole cluster fermentation and little to no additions, these Pinot Noirs represent Adam’s most personal and uncompromising efforts. Clarice is also a different kind of winery — part limited-enrollment wine club, part online wine community, and part wine education platform. The wines have drawn consistent critical acclaim, with Vinous calling the 2024 Clarice wines “the most complete and balanced the SLH had to offer,” while The Wine Palate praised Clarice as “a mature, reflective expression of California Pinot Noir, shaped by experience, restraint, and a refusal to chase borrowed ideals.” At its heart, Clarice remains a deeply personal expression of place, experience, and Adam Lee’s enduring belief that great Pinot Noir should be honest, distinctive, and built to stand the test of time.
