Canyon Spring Vineyard
Est. 2014
Canyon Spring Vineyard was established in 2014 and is one of the last parcels to be developed in the SLH AVA. Nestled in the upper - northern region against the Oak tree-studded foothill in a perfect location for Pinot Noir winegrapes to be grown. The elevation is 740 feet and the southeast facing slopes vary from 5-10%. The slope aspect and northern SLH position allow for a gentle and slow ripening process, which is highly conducive in luxury winemaking. Soils consist of Chualar Loam and Placentia Sandy Loam and are spaced 8x5 on VSP trellis. Clones include: POM 4, 115, 667 and 777. - Jeff Crank, Bob Franscioni and Bill Massa.
