Red Stitch Wines

Drawn together through a blind tasting group, our families—the Aurilias, Miceks, and Roberts—became close friends and devoted wine enthusiasts. Beginning in 2007, we shared unforgettable tastings in our homes and at favorite restaurants across California and around the world. As our appreciation for wine deepened, so did our relationships throughout Napa and Sonoma. After the 2008 baseball season concluded for Rich and Dave, we began laying the groundwork for our own venture into the wine business. Since the formation of Red Stitch, Rich, Amy, Dave, Tricia, John and Noelle have been intimately involved in the winemaking process, working closely with our winemaker to craft a beautiful portfolio of wines designed to stand the test of time. This hands-on approach reflects our group’s commitment to being involved in every aspect of winemaking. Since our inception, we have been proud to deepen our relationships within the wine community. A series of exceptional tastings throughout the Napa and Sonoma Valleys led to a lasting friendship and partnership with Rolando Herrera of Mi Sueño Winery, spanning our 2007 through 2023 vintages. Rolando’s knowledge, relationships, and enthusiasm for Red Stitch provided the opportunity to source extraordinary grapes from some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyards. In 2011, we were fortunate to partner with the renowned Soberanes, Rosella’s, and Sierra Mar vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands to craft two exceptional vineyard-designate Pinot Noirs and a Chardonnay, now integral to the Red Stitch portfolio. In 2024, we welcomed Erich Bradley as our new winemaker, and we are already seeing the positive impact of his experienced hand in the precision, balance, and expression of our wines as he helps shape their future.
