Jose Reyes

Jose Reyes has been CRU Winery's winemaker since 2009. Originally from Sinaloa, Mexico, he built his life and career on California's Central Coast, training under the winemaking team at the historic Bargetto Winery in Santa Cruz. With three decades in the cellar, his philosophy is minimal intervention — letting the grapes express themselves without too much interference. His wines have consistently earned 90+ point ratings.

Outside the winery, Jose values family and enjoys cooking; his son Juan now works alongside him at CRU as a winemaking assistant and cellar hand, continuing the family legacy.
